wound tight

I am

tangled

now

like a silver chain 

that's been sitting in a wooden box

 for far too many years

never worn

 yet somehow it manages

 to tie itself

 into loop

 after loop

 after loop

 

 now

the knot

 is too big to unwind

and

 I don't know

 where to 

start
